Earlier today I purchased and downloaded Rayman Forever on my Windows 10. AVG told me that it had found 4 files that were infected and moved them to quarantine:

RAYRUN.EXE
CLIENT.EXE
MAPPER.EXE
STARTUP.EXE

After researching threads I discovered people were having the same forum. Despite the fact of people claiming they were false positives, I found out the game had algorithms that were set to run on April 26th: The Chernobyle Virus (CIH). Buying the game just to create my own levels and finding out I couldn't was a waste of my money and my time. I have 2 questions:
Is it true?
If so, will it affect my Windows 10?

I am on a laptop if that helps. Your feedback is appreciated.

The files included in Rayman Forever do in fact have the code for the CIH virus inside of them, however, on testing in a Win95 virtual machine, this code does not run, even on April 26th. Even if the code was active, it would have no effect on modern versions of Windows. There's nothing to worry about, although it would be a good idea for GOG to replace these files with ones that were completely clean.
