Hi!

I own the retail 3-disc version of Rayman 3, but the problem might also happen with the GOG version. The framerate for Rayman 3 doesn't maintain at a 60 fps, it's dropping constantly to 35 FPS. I'm running the game at 1920x1200x32 with the modified ubi.ini and with the input fix I found in these forums. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanks!

Same problem here with a i7, 12GB 1600 Triple Channel RAM, and a GTX 570... still got the frame drop, whats going on?
I can't fix it, I played allot with the settings but in some areas the FPS drops to 25 -30 and in other areas i get a stable 60. But it changes so at random that its sometimes unplayable because there is a slowdown or speedup. Anyone that knows allot about this ?
Ugh, I thought I was the only one who had this problem. Has nothing to do with the resolution or texture quality, changing it does absolutely nothing whatsoever. In most locations it is 60 FPS but whenever I start hairlicoptering or fighting (or doing anything for that matter) it drops to about 30 and then quickly changes back to 60 again. It is hugely irritating and it actually put me off playing, several times. (I actually get this same problem occasionally on Rayman 2) I know it's not just my computer, because the same problem occurs on several of our computers. And of course, the person above certainly has a nice system but still gets this FPS drop.
If someone could post a solution it would be extremely appreciated.

(to the people above, sorry I couldn't post a solution myself)

I discovered how to fix the FPS drop problem. You have to disable vsync (force off) for Rayman3.exe (I used NVIDIA Inspector)

The game has an engine limit of 72fps. If you try to vsync, it has these dips to 36fps. Since it's cutting the framerate exactly in half, it is most-likely that triple buffering isn't applying when you try to force it, so when the sync isn't perfectly synced, it doesn't have an extra frame ahead to grab so instead it waits for the next.

So, unless we can find some way to unlock the internal framerate or get triple buffering to actually work, our only option for no dips is to run it in 72fps with screen tearing everywhere or vsynced 30fps (would look better than 36fps since most monitors run 60hz so it'd be a steady feed). For me with an ATI card, if you try to set it to normal vsync but 30hz in RadeonPro it crashes on launch. If you use "Always on (Double Vsync)" then it will run 30fps. Also if you set LOD bias to -3 that will make the textures and stuff look nicer since they weren't originally made for such high resolutions.

I'm currently torn as to whether I'll suffer 30fps or constant screen tearing. It's disappointing.

OK I finaly found solution for constant 60 fps :).
First you have to disable vsync (for nvidia with NVIDIA Inspector). For ATI you have to install Ati Tray Tools. Once it's installed right-click the taskbar icon and go to Game Profiles > Manage Profiles. Name it Rayman3 or whatever you want, in the executable box go to your install directory and choose Rayman3.exe. Now click the Direct3D Tweaks tab and where it says "Force VSync (Vista workaround) choose "off". Now save the profile and when you want to launch the game do it from ATI Tray Tools' game profile manager. Now game runs at 72 fps (engine default), but we need 60 fps. Next step, install d3doverrider, it comes with riva tuner. Run d3doverrider and choose force vsync. Now launch the game from ATI Tray Tools' game profile manager and game will run on constant 60 fps. Hope this helps!
It didn't work for me with my ATI card.

Try reset everything in Ati CCC on default and restart computer. Then try with ATT.
I found this solution also.
Download and install program WindowedBorderlessGaming
Download and install MSI Afterburner with RivaTuner Statistic Server

In RivaTuner Statistic Server set frame limit to 60fps
Run WindowedBorderlessGaming and then run game, alt+tab in game to exit to desktop and then in WindowedBorderlessGaming click add window (F3) and select rayman 3 from taskbar. When you are in game press F4 and game should run at 60fps constantly. Hope this helps!
I just got this game and I'm also having this problem. I would like to try turning vsyns off and see if it helps but I have no idea how to do it. I have never used nvidia inspector before so if someone could tell me how exactly I can use it to turn vsync off in rayman 3?
There isn't a way how to disable V-Sync on AMD card?

Doesn't work. I can't limit framerate to 60 fps without seeing this 36 fps slowdowns problem.

Neither vsync, windowed mode, borderless, driver limit with NVInspector, d3doverrider, DXTory, RTSS... nothing works.

The moment I want to avoid 72 fps juddery, the game will tank to 36 fps here and there.

Win10 x64 last nvidia driver.
there is a way to do something on intel gpu?
Setting a profile for Rayman 3 in FPS Limiter 0.2 works for me - I now have pure 72 fps without any drops.

Just search for "FPS Limiter 0.2" in google because I can't post any links here.
