Hi everyone,
i don't know if it's just me, but my GOG Rayman 2 installation did not save any games on disk even if it told me so from ingame.
I found out that both Windows 10 and 11 do not permit file write access to the application directory, where the save game files should also be written. Newer games will write save games to User applicaiton directories, but older games like Rayman 2 don't.
So, after playing nearly half of the game in one hit, after quitting the game, all progress was lost. Quite annoying, isn't it.
You can avoid this by running the game as an administrator. But it would really be nice if the GOG installer could already set file permissions in a way so the current user has write permission by default.
As i think many users will face this problem, i made an image of the save game for each stage of the game as i played through. So if you will unwillingly lose your save game, you may select one of the save game states from my archive and continue playing from the exact point you'd like to. All of the worlds were played properly through with all lums and cages collected.
As the forum doesn't allow me to post a file download link (and won't even notice me about that, by the way), i can only tell you that i also posted the link on PC Gaming Wiki, you can find it in the section 'Save game download' (just type "Rayman 2 Save Game" in Google and search for the site link)...
Hope this may help some others, too.
