Has anybody got a USB Gamepad "Logitech Rumblepad 2" working with Rayman 2? Mine works with other games, but when I try to calibrate it in Rayman 2, nothing happens.
There seems to be quite a lot complains about Rayman 2 not working with specific pads. If you browse the forum you might see few threads about Xbox 360 pads not working. Some users on the other hand seem to have their Xbox controllers working perfectly.

The solution might be software such as XPadder and it using such software might be better than out-of-the-box support for your pad since you would be able to configure the controls.
I already posted this in another thread about the gamepad, but I'll say it anyways.

The game is very, VERY old and it's quite probable that your gamepad won't be recognized.

Your best bet is Joy2Key or Xpadder. I have a generic USB Xbox 360 controller and the game won't recognize it, so I use Xpadder for it and although you won't have full analog support, it's completely playable.

If you're having trouble trying to configure the game, I have it like this (hope you're familiar with the Xbox 360 button layout):

Left Thumbstick = Arrows
Right Thumbstick = W (mapped left) and Q (mapped right)
Back = F1
Start = Esc
A = A
B = Z
X = Space
Y = Number Pad 0
RB = Left Ctrl
LB = J
RT = Q
LT = W

Hope this helps.

Well, I'm running Rayman 2 on Linux - so no Windows tool suitable. So, I think this is a problem of Rayman 2 itself, too bad! I can play it with the keyboard, but I hoped to get it run on the joypad for my children.
Running the game on Linux would make XPadder and Joy2Key programs useless. Good news is that such applications for Linux exist too. You could give QJoyPad a try for example: http://qjoypad.sourceforge.net
I realize this post is old, but for future people searching I'll add: I've just downloaded R2 today and it plays perfectly with my Logitech Rumblepad 2, so maybe GoG has fixed this issue.
Reviving ancient thread! :P
I'm also using the Rumble Pad 2 and I still needed the Rayman 2 Input fix for anyone else having this problem.
