I'm having trouble working Rayman 3, or getting it to launch at all. I've reinstalled it several times, I've run the Rayman3.exe as regular and admin, I ran the setup file, I installed DirectX stuff, but nothing seems to work.

What's wrong? Rayman 2 and 1 work fine with my computer. I'm baffled as to why I can't start this game at all. No antivirus message shows up, either - it just refuses to start.

What is your setup ? Old games like Rayman 3 crash at launch when DSR is enabled on the NVIDIA Control Panel for example.

I'm having a similar problem with Rayman 3
- Windows 8.1 - 64bits
- Nvidia GTX 560
- DSR Factors are Off on the Vidia Controller.

When I run "Rayman3.eXe", it asks me to run the setup. (see picture)

When I run "R3_Setup_DX8.exe", It shows very quickly a window with the "Ubisoft" logo and closes (very quickly) and nothing shows up.

Any tips are welcome.

I've been tearing my hair out trying to get Rayman 3 to run on my PC as well. It installs, but upon trying to launch the game it immediately plunges into a black screen that locks up my computer. I can't even exit out to the desktop and have to reboot manually (which really isn't good when you're trying to fix an issue, or at all for that matter!) This problem sounds similar but not identical to some of the issues that other people appear to be having, i.e I see no Ubisoft logo before crash, game does not exit out of the crash at all and just leaves me stranded on black screen until reboot.

I've scoured the internet and forums for hours and I've not been able to find any solution that works. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as although I can get the previous games to run, 3 is the one that I was really hoping for when I bought the bundle, and I'm not ready to give up on it just yet. :(

Graphics drivers are entirely up to date, tried running in compatibility mode, tried running as an admin, tried disabling my second screen (as I've found this has helped with older games previously), fiddled with every setting and tried all advice given in previous posts with issues similar to mine... nothing works!

Hi guys, I experienced a similar problem whereby the game wouldn't launch at all. I r-clicked on the desktop launch icon and ticked the following boxes under the "Compatibility" tab: Run as administrator; Disable display scaling on high DPI settings; and Run in compatibility mode for WinXP. And presto, it's working now. I'm running Vista though, so I can't say if it will resolve the issue on other OS's. Good luck anyway!
