After perusing these boards I was finally able to figure out how to launch the mapper. But when I tried to create a new map (by right-clicking an example and selecting "add map"), I got this error message: "Cannot Generate event files: C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Rayman Forever\RayKit\image\MAP2\" Have any of you been able to actually create any levels with this? Also, if anyone's been able to figure out how to import maps as well, please tell me because I have some maps on my computer that I would like to play.

Also, unrelated note, but the game doesn't save my progress in Rayman's new levels, so I can only play the first one in each world.

If anyone sees this topic, could you at least tell me whether you've tried either of these things (the mapper or Rayman's New Levels) and whether they've worked for you?
I have the same problem. The only way I can make it work is by installing a Rayman Gold version from another source, then creating a map in that versions mapper, then copy/pasting that newly created map into the GOG version. After that I can edit the map and add events as usual with the GOG version.

You will need an actual Rayman Gold disc (or mounted .iso file) to play this Gold version and use the mapper. This won't work otherwise.

Here is the Gold version I'm using to solve this problem: bit.ly/18H3ezf

As for importing maps, I have never had any luck on that part =/ The only way I can send maps to myself and others is by sending the folder with the map data instead of using the export method.

I also cannot save progress in the new levels. But this workes in that Gold version. The only issue there is that the sound is laggy and the game itself runs a tiny bit sluggish.

I know this is an old topic but I hope it helped :)
Right click the mapper shortcut and click "Run As Administrator"

Worked For Me
Thanks for replying even though this is a very old topic. I'll try these fixes once I have the time to install again. For the sake of anyone reading this, I should note that there's a cheat to make all the levels available so you don't have to worry about the game not saving your progress. On the level select screen for any world, press TAB, type openall, and then press BACKSPACE.
