Before anyone tells me the four EXEs are false positives, yes, I am aware of this. I read up on the forums and I know these four EXEs that claim to have CIH are false positives and are not an actual virus.

Anyway I did my routine scan, and Rayman Forever got infected with Win32:Malware-gen according to Avast. Specifically the unins000.exe. I moved it to chest and I tried re-installing Rayman and to replace all the files and the file came from the installer as infected.

Now I'm wondering if this is a false positive or not. Both files are in the virus chest. Also, is there a way to manually uninstall this game and reinstall the game. I don't know if GOG adds anything to registry or what. Please answer my question and thanks in advance.

Anyway, I just deleted the folder (backed up my saved files) and re-installed. Luckily the Win32:Malware-gen did not come back when I scanned the install directory. Just to be safe, did anyone receive this "virus" on their unins000.exe for Rayman? That this did not come back, I'm guessing false positive, but I want to be sure if anyone else uses Avast and has this game.

Edit: I'm not marking my answer as a solution. Even though I solved it, it would not be fair to give myself the points. (Forgive me, I don't know how this system works)

Forgot about this thread. It was. Someone posted in the General forum about this, might have been a different game. In the future you should submit the file to Avast. That way they can check the file and update their definitions. Easy. It won't let you. ;)

Ah ok, so it wasn't me. Now I wonder what other games had this. I scanned my Duke 3D directory and no result. Thanks for the heads up and letting me know the system won't. :)
