Not sure if this is a glitch or what. I am trying to get the ring back and have put the hose in the hole in the clock but I cannot add the boiled water. Got to the point where I had to "kill a Kitty" or 2 and it says combine the hose with the bottle of boiled water but I cannot now take the hose back. It just remains on the screen as if I'm supposed to do something with and I cannot access the inventory while I have it "in my hand" so to speak. Can anyone help?

Ok I figured it out. Somehow I managed to take the boiling bottle the first (?). When I realised I couldn't the second time, I figured it out.
