Hi, simple question here ;) - does someone in here play this in windowed mode?
I'm one of those dudes with a wide screen that does not support proper rescaling. If you know how to get there and provided that it does not come with weird mouse behaviour or similar problems, I'd really like to play it that way.
so?

I'm gonna dare bumping this.
So??

1. Pick Start -> Run
2. Type 'regedit' to the appearing box & click OK.
3. Browse to key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Red Storm Entertainment\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six in appearing window.
4. Look for key named 'FullScreen' (should have TRUE as value) and
double-click it to edit.
5. Change value data from 'TRUE' to 'FALSE' and click OK.
6. Exit Registry Editor and launch RS.

There's a small possibility that this causes the system to crash, but this really shouldn't happen on most machines. To restore RS to full screen mode, follow the steps 1-4 exactly, but on step 5, just restore the value to TRUE.
But I got Smacker error "Unsupported pixel format" and black screen. Win 7x32.

I also had this (win 10 64bit). You also have to go to the properties of the rainbow six exe file and select to run with 16 bit colour. Then it will work. The window will be a fixed size however, though the size of the actual game image can be increased by going into the game settings and changing the display resolution to 1024x768 for example.
