Are their any discord servers or sub-reddits? I don't have a clue where to find people to play with.

Dunno if you've already found it, but this forum seems to be cropping up alot on the Raven Shield forums on steam: http://www.allr6.com/discuss/

Hope that helps, I have yet to contribute to the forums, would love a game or 2 sometime with like minded folk/
