If you haven't heard about it yet, go to www.serellan.com or www.takedownthegame.com to take a look at a new game that will bring back the game play of Rogue Spear. It will be a highly tactical FPS all with a planning phase, no pansy cover system, complete team loadouts, etc. Just like the great days of Rogue Spear.

Yup been following them along with the guys which made rogue spear and ghost recon from redstorm , they are doing a similar game/project named ground branch, hope to see both soon, same for rogue spear on gog :)

Intriguing titles. Both look solid enough to make some sort of splash in this era while maintaining a reverence for gamer days gone by. Whispers of SOLDIER OF FORTUNE/SOLDIER OF FORTUNE DOUBLE HELIX and classic GHOST RECON and RAINBOW SIX entries, of course.

DONT BUY IT. Its a piece of crap alpha release sold for 15 dollars.

Ehhh.. it's buggy yes. And it doesn't include pre-planning nor a friendly AI that you can command, because it is mainly focused on multiplayer.

Despite the bugs, the gameplay is fun and really has that Rainbow Six feel. If they just fix the bugs it'll be a great game IMO.

And fact is, there just isn't much choice in tac-shooters.

What a shame, I really liked giving commands in SWAT 4. In my personal experience, the AI was reasonably competent and I actually did a lot better on my own than with real people. In the end, I preferred playing by myself.

The game should have definitely been delayed a little longer, but overall I think it's not too bad. Once they iron out the bugs, it'll be fine. Sadly, since the game was released in the state it was the multiplayer community might stay dead. Rise of the Triad is having the same issue. :(

Yeah they need to fix it fast.

Many MP games have died prematurely because of bugs at launch or network issues etc.
