the game runs, but everytime i start a mission, i get crazy mesh errors in front of my face and my crosshairs dont render correctly.. any help?

I had this too at first

1) Go to main menu in-game

2) select 'options' from the list (new game/load game etc etc)

3) there is an option to 'force software' as rendering mode, select it

4) DONE

Rainbow Six was designed for windows 98 era hardware, it can't cope with newer legacy hardware such as nvidia 8xxx series which is what i'm running on this particular machine now.

you guys played multiplayer on voobly yet?

I tried with forced software rendering and the game crashed.
