I'm having issues with sound tearing. When it happens gfx is having hiccups, similar to screen tearing.
The problem becomes more noticeable when I zoom out. I tried changing sound system, but the game hangs when I try it. Enabling hardware acceleration does the same.
I tried lowering gfx quality - no effect.
Disabled music - no change.
When I disabled sound all together I noticed the gameplay became smoother. No stutter, so the problem must be related to sound system. I updated the driver - no change.
I have Realtek HD. I'm not sure which one is it. Can't find the model number (it's listed as VEN_10EC&DEV_0283).
Running Win10 Home, gfx IntelHD + Geforce 840M.
EDIT: 13-02-2019
More info. I ran the game with FPS and sound on. I zoomed out and begun moving the camera around. I noticed a massive FPS drop, from around 50+ to 5. With sound disabled fps won't drop below 50. I don't know what could be causing it. A gfx setting, faulty sound driver, the game is too old. Any ideas?
