i bought this game during the recent sale. Started the campaign as a male mage. Tooltips turned on. After killing the first bandits it said something along the lines of "you dont have to kill everything, you can also talk to people". When i got to the village near the end of the first map they were all hostile. I tried to complete that fight several times but it was pretty impossible. Now i saw on a youtube video that indeed you are supposed to talk to those people. But how?
When i complete the escort mission my character immediately starts shooting that woman. She dies quickly and the mission fails.

I am saddened even thinking about this which was about a week ago. It totally killed my desire to give it another try. After all, i have no idea what i did wrong so why would the result be different next time?
