If my memory serves, that DLC was never translated to English, thus it's not available.

Is having the English language a necessary requirement for a game to be sold on GoG? I know quite a few Steam titles that are not available in English, e.g. Санитары Подземелий 2 or みんなのA列車で行こう.
Anyway, it would at least make a fantastic bonus download for Evil Islands. I personally would buy the game here just for the expansion pack alone, and I'm guessing some people would do the same.
Loved the main game, but never played the expansion or even seen it on sale.

My guess would be yes. If the majority of customers cannot understand the game, then GOG can't easily justify selling it.
They could probably add it as an unsupported extra, but that has a different set of problems attached, including possible rights issues.
Sorry for being a bit of a stickler, but

... and yet Steam somehow manages to find that selling such games can be profitable enough to have them around.

That is common sense, every upload on here should be legally in the clear. Bonus content or not, it doesn't matter.

Apples and oranges. Only cost for a Steam game for Valve is bandwidth. Everything else is done by the publisher, including blurb, promotion, technical support and QA. GOG does quite a bit of those themselves, thus the costs for GOG are higher.
Not to mention a smaller user base compared to Steam.

Not only that. If a DLC/expansion is not owned by the same people that own the base game, including it as an extra becomes a huge mess, mostly concerning who gets paid how much. Usual case is to offer it as a separate entry, but that would mean supporting said entry. So if "Lost in Astral" isn't owned by Nival Interactive, it may be impossible to offer it even as an unsupported extra.

The copyright for both of those games *was* held by Nival. Now Mail.ru owns everything that is related to the Allods franchise, so while the original publisher and the current copyright owner should be the same (albeit the developers are different), it has been known to be a legal mess for a long time.
It actually somewhat surprises me that Nival is listed as the publisher in here tbh, since they have sold all the rights to the series quite some time ago.

Anyway, I have no interest in delving into all this wild guesswork about legal stuff and actual reasons why the expansion is not available, unless a staff member chimes in with some factual data.
I'm just expressing my interest in having the expansion pack brought in here if the circumstances (which neither of us fully know) allow for that to happen.

Hey! Just wanted to thank you for your work. I just installed Lost in Astral and your English language patch 0.1.0 and it's working great so far. :-)
There's a mod called Rebirth that let you play Lost in Astrae in English.

No clue how it works (crashes, errors - had some in my old playthrough on Win 7 64 bit) or how good is the translation tho...
