Sulibor: I am on a fence with this game. I liked the demo on Kongregate, but I am against creating accounts/registration on 3rd party servers. Could you tell me if I will be missing any
singleplayer features if I do not create an in-game account? I am not interested in global ranking/multiplayer but I was wondering if the game will be randomized if account is not created.
Registration is not mandatory - I still have yet to link up my game with the dev's site. The way the game works is that there are a certain preset setups/patterns for the 'worlds' you can race in. While not completely random, after a day or so the level structure does get mixed up, so it makes for different runs; there certainly have been bits and pieces I hadn't seen before after a week or so of playing. That said, the game itself only comes with three basic worlds: the basic 'Race the Sun' original, an extra hard mode 'Apocalypse', and a bonus stage of sorts called 'The Void'.
While it looks like you can plug in other people's worlds into the game manually, I'd think it'd be much easier and quicker to do so using the in-game world sharing feature, which actually does require for one to be logged into Flippfly's server.
