This appears the be the only game I've ever played that doesn't pause when you put your cursor on top of the screen and the status bar appears. It doesn't seem to pause when you have the inventory box open either. It doesn't even pause when you're trying to save the game! So here I am, breaking into Rayford's house and trying to save the game while I'm there, and the warnings appear. And then Rayford appears. While I'm trying to save the game. This really sucks because when this happens, the game freezes. You have to CTRL+ALT+DEL out of the game if Rayford appears while you're trying to save the game in his house.

The game really should pause once you move the cursor to the top of the screen and reveal the status bar. It should certainly be paused when you're trying to save the game.
