Hi all,

I just bought the game and started playing it. So excited to dive into a game again that's a distant cousin of Quest for Glory:).

Has anyone an idea about changing the resolution in-game, despite the obvious use of the windows control panel out of the game (I have windows 7 64-bit). I notice 2 black bands on both side-ends of the screen on a standard resolution of 1920 x 1200.

Thanks;).

Check your Start menu for a Resolution Settings link under the main folder for Quest for Infamy :)
Ilias, it's important to note the game IS in 4:3 resolution, so black bars will be normal on the sides of your screen, unless you set your video cards full screen setting to stretch, which will fill your monitor, but stretch the image.

Thank you for the solution. It was right under my nose. Now I surely take the path of the rogue in the game:).

Kind regards,

It's good to see developers being envolved with the community and following concerns from their customers. The tip of Judas worked like a charm. The automatic screen-resolution changer is included in the GOG-package as a separate executable.:)

The game so far is wonderful. It's like taking a nostalgia trip on a road of fond memories but on a path never traveled, enjoying new scenery. The comments of the disembodied narrator are often hilarious and are likely to trigger the "one-more-click-syndrome". So far I am still exploring the town of Volksville.

Thanks,

Ilias
Ilias! I am so glad to hear that! Have fun, explore, talk to everyone and take everything that isn't nailed down!!!

I know it's kinda sacrilege, but if you want to have sharper text, you can edit acsetup.cfg and set this:
gfxfilter=Hq2x

Thanks, I might try this on the rerun of the game. At the moment I'm stuck at the Centai-puzzle with the board pieces. I know one can bypass this in game, but stubborn and proud me wants to get all achievements...

Heh, you can also use "winsetup.exe" to make the highquality filter selection.
