I can’t seem to find any of the 4 graffitis leading to Sweeping Sir James. Is this side quest only available with the original layout setting? It’s my 1st playthrough so I chose the simplified type.

Yup, simplified eliminates Easter Eggs. Sweeping Sir James is one of the AGD Interactive Easter Eggs.

FYI, if you restart the game with the original layout in order to enjoy the Easter Eggs, before you leave the Inn for the first time, ask Shameen about the "moneychanger." He should provide you with a translation of all of the street names, which makes decoding the hints much easier without needing to know Arabic.

Thanks for confirming this!

I did ask Shameen and get the auto-translation, too bad I’ve chosen the wrong layout :(

I think simplified doesn’t eliminate all Easter eggs, though. I still see Prince of Persia reference and the like around Shapeir and in the desert.

He meant to say that the Simplified layout removes some of the easter eggs, such as the saurus mechanic's shop. It also removes the Sweeping Sir James fights sadly. Incidentally, if you have Blue Frog mode unlocked, you can change between the normal and simplified maps by changing global variable #75.

Thanks for the info! I’ve been through all 3 classes and have spent the latter 2 in classic layout. When I realized that simplified layout removed the Sweeping Sir James fights in my 1st play, I’ve already lost the chance to get the blue frog (~day 16?). I got both Sir James and blue frog during my 2nd play through though.
