One minute I'm playing and the next the game crashes. When I reopen the game I get this message:

"that game was saved under a different game or interpreter version"

I cannot open any of my saved games. I did not patch it or otherwise change a thing and I was getting close to completing the game. I would rather not have to start all over again, does anyone have a fix that might help me?

I have tried patching the game (copied all files to a backup folder before hand) and that did nothing so I reverted to it's vanilla state. I have even tried reinstalling it from my GOG install file, but no fix.

Please help! I played this game years ago and got close then as well, but have never finished it. I want to conclude the story without having to repeat everything.
