My wizard (imported from QFG 4) cannot visit Erasmus. I have played until day 4. Every time I take my character to the pavillion with the spinning cone, nothing happens. If I kick the pillars, I am told that my character sprained his toes. If I cast 'Trigger' or anything else, nothing happens. Any suggestions? Anything I am doing wrong?

Are you casting Trigger by pressing a hotkey or are you placing the pointer over the hat itself in order to cast the spell? Trigger, along with other spells, will not function correctly if you do not target what you intend to cast your magic on.

Several spells change their functionality throughout the series and #5 has many instances of this. If you haven't discovered it by now, be aware that having your magic staff active (once you obtain it) in #5 will also cause Lightning Ball to do something completely different.

I'm also having this problem and putting trigger in the quickbar and positioning cursor over the teleporter does nothing
was having a pretty awesome time playing through this ol' classic series again but this is making me tear out my hair :'(

Why you hate me Erasmus? I just wan be ur fwend, Ur hurting my feels. : ' (

So i have the exact same problem and the detect magic spell doesn't work when i am a wizard. How do you continue?

You can't just point the cursor at the object and then press the trigger hotkey, you have to click on Trigger from the hotbar at the bottom and *then* point your mouse cursor at the hat and left-click.

This is dumb, same with items, for example you can't use money (to enter arena) from inventory, you need to place money to quick bar first and then use it on on somebody =(
