Hey everyone! I have been playing the qfg series without any problems (and with much joy) for the past month or so.
I started playing qfg4 about a week ago and now all of a sudden, I can't restore my game. Also I try starting a new one andas soon as I cut through the sphincter in the very first screen, the game freezes. What has happened and how do I fix it? It's like all of a sudden this started happening. Nothing has changed on the computer since last night (when everything worked fine). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I should add that when I click "restore game" the restore game font stays red and nothing else happens. I have to ctrl alt delete to get out of it.

Sadly, i have this problem as well, and it seems im necro-ing this thread.

Remush: Sadly, i have this problem as well, and it seems im necro-ing this thread.

it's just super-frustrating
I've been speedrunning this game for nearly 20 years, and I've never run into this. My advice, if you haven't already done so, is to reinstall. I'm sure you did reinstall, though, so check your DOSBox settings. Cycle speed and sound settings are important in this game, strangely, so play around with those settings.

Also disabling EMS in the DOSBox config fixes a TON of problems in the earlier QFG games, so this might be worth a try.
