My game seems to hang when I sit down at the table in the inn. Shema never comes out to the table, and eventually my cursor changes to the use/hand icon but I can't do anything, can't leave the table and can't interact with anything. In fact, Shameen never even does his thing that he's supposed to do where he stands and claps to get Shema to come out. He just continues to sit there.

Any way to fix this bug?

The good news...I've just started QFG1 VGA as well, so I know exactly where you're talking about.

The bad news...I've had no such problem. Shema & Shameen have worked perfectly every time I've been in there.

But we're both playing the exact same game, so something must be different. You can't talk or do anything else? Here's a site with some official & unofficial patches for the QFG series...

Well, I tried applying all three of those patches and there was no change. It still happens and it's really goddamn frustrating :( I'm going to try starting a new game and seeing if it happens again to make sure it's not some sort of issue with a save, and I'll report back.

Well, there must be a scripting error somewhere or an error in the save, because I restarted the game and it worked fine. Shameen stood up and clapped and Shema came out. The only things I did in my saved game was rob a few houses, buy a spell from the magic store, and buy apples. Not sure what could cause the inn to break.

Glad it worked out. It could've been worse...I remember years ago when Police Quest 3 first came out & it had a bug that was around 90% into the game. It was a different era of gaming, no patch was available so I wasn't able to finish it (until recently on GOG).
