I saw on various points distribution lists that it's possible for fighters and thieves to get 504 points by acquiring one of the hidden spells. I'm playing as a fighter and I actually printed out the points list to make sure I didn't miss anything. I just cannot get those 4 points! Is this something that was fixed in the gog version?

I'm not knowledgeable about these things, just a lifelong QFG fan!

I believe it's the Detect Magic scroll you can get by asking one of the Green Meeps. You'll need at least 1 point in Magic in order to learn it.

I got the spell but I still only got 500 points. I'm just wondering if maybe the gog version only lets you have 500, or if I checked something off the point list without doing it.

Ok nevermind. I went back to the first day. I got points for talking to the meeps but not for getting the scroll or learning the spell.

That settles it - in the gog version 500 points is the max.
