What's the significance of experience points in QFG2? In QFG1 they determine whether or not the Suarus Rexes come out, but I don't think any new monsters come out in QFG2 if your experience is really high.

Also how do you get NEGATIVE experience points? Apparently that's possible.

Integer overflow. If you manage to get over 32K experience points, it will roll over to -32K, which will then continue to go up.
I can't confirm this, but I've read that the major function of experience in both QFG1 and QFG2 is determining how easy it is to increase your stats.

That is, the more experience you have, the more likely it is that an action will increase your stat.

I have seen no evidence supporting this, however, and I usually end up with a lot of experience in the act of grinding in the first place.

Might need to suck the blue frog and razzle dazzle that rootbeer in order to really test it, and I'm not really up to testing things out like that right now XD
