I have been running Qfg 1-4 games through Scummvm for years and all is good.
I'm just wondering, does it matter what legit version of the games I have?
Like if i got an old cd version or a gog or steam version, is Scummvm simply "updating" them with all known fixes?

like if I took my old cd version of Qfg4 and let's say it's version 1.0. Does that mean I am running 1.0 in ScummVm? Or does Scummvm update it? And is this the same for other Scummvm supported games?

Thank you!

I also use ScummVM for all games it works on. I don't know the answer to your question, myself, but you might want to try the ScummVM forums: www.scummvm.org forums.scummvm.org
