Using DarkPlaces port produces a glitch where the silver key does not spawn in The Catacombs level in Scourge of Armagon of the original Quake.
I tried a variety of workarounds with console commands found in forums, as well as loading my save gave through other ports, but nothing will spawn that key.
Therefore I had to "cheat". Loaded the console (~) and then typed IMPULSE 9. It gave me all weapons and all keys. After going through the silver key doorway, you pick up the remaining weapon that was missing in your arsenal before the cheat. So, excluding the extra ammo, everything works as intended and doesn't feel like you're cheating...much.
If you have other workarounds, please post them here in case others are using DarkPlaces and come across this problem.
