Hi. Have you seen that the Quake soundtrack in Quake Enhanced at last has a title for each song? You see it in the Madia Player. They are:
Aftermath, Damnation, Falling, Focus, It Is Raped, Life, Parallel Dimensions, Quake Theme (curiously here and not the first), The Hall Of Souls, The Reaction.

Did .cda music on original discs (and\or GOG repacked disc images) have it too or not? I ask cause i dont know and that can be 50/50%, or partially - one-two have it and else not.
The soundtrack is tagged. For instance the first track has these tags

Artist Name : Nine Inch Nails
Track Title : Aftermath
Album Title : Quake
Date : 1998
Genre : Alternative

along with a bunch more non-standard ones. Also, the files are Ogg Vorbis, with an average bit rate of 186kb/s.

186/kbps is a bit low for my liking for what Quake Enhanced ships with, so I took the cue sheets that was included with the original Quake and its expansions, ripped the raw music with ISO Buster or similar program as WAV, re-encode the music files as q.6 (256/kbps) OGGs with oggdropXPd and use the higher quality versions to replace the stock soundtrack. I could higher at q.9 (320/kbps) but I want to keep a good balance of file space size and sound quality. For those who want to try this themselves with similar programs, you might want to grab the fixed cue sheets for the GOG version before ripping the music.

When Trent Reznor/NIN remastered it in 2020, he added official titles to each track.
