Does the new Quake 2 Enhanced update support playing the campaign co-op using LAN?

I see it has local split-screen co-op but I was hoping to connect two computers together and play co-op without an internet connection.

This post may seem a bit familiar as I once asked the same question about the Quake 1 Enhanced version, the answer to that was yes... but it needed special console commands to make it work, is Quake 2 Enhanced the same?

And if so, what are the commands?

Have player one create a LAN multiplayer lobby.
Then player two opens the console with the ` or ~ key. Type in connect and player one's local IP address. Like 'connect 192.168.1.10'
It will say the command is deprecated, but it still works.
net_nerdstats 1 will show if packets are reaching you.
If you don't know your local IP address, In Windows run cmd and enter ipconfig /all.
You don't need console commands to join over LAN, it's literally just a menu.
Thank you.
