Which mods have the best Quake 2 bots for deathmatches?

I always like Gladiator bots, from the same guy who did the Omicron bot for Quake (later hired by id for work on Quake 3).

The Eraser bots were another popular choice.

I went to this site to download the Gladiator bot. But when I tried to run the mod, I kept getting "AAS" errors. Is there another step to fix this?

Update:
I tried the built-in Eraser bots and those seem to work better. One has to use the " +set game eraser +map <name>" command to use it.
