...for selling an unstable game! This is the first time the game I bought off GOG is crashing. It always crashes on loading screens. I tried compatibility mode for XP SP2 but it cannot even launch then. There is also this terrible crackling noise in audio.

I though you were the best, but now I HATE YOU!!!

I have bough it too, but have not yet tried it. You know there's a 30 Day Money back policy right?
The game crashes sometimes, but I only had three of them in a complete playthrough. Regular saving was enough for me to keep it a mild nuisance. Apart from that, Psychonauts is a really nice and in some ways different game.

I played through this game twice. I don't recall it ever crashing. I perfected the game on the second try as well.

I played it on my laptop though. It was an HP Envy and was running Win 8 (not 8.1).
You didn't even tell us your specs or OS, so we could try and help you...

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with GOG on your first time using their service, but did you try submitting a support ticket to their tech team? They're usually very competent and can, more often than not, solve the problems people might be having with their games.

As for me, I played the GOG version of Psychonauts on machines using Win XP, Vista and 7, ranging from an Intel PC with an ATI GPU to an AMD with an AMD GPU with no major issues whatsoever. From my personal experience, this is actually one of the most stable games GOG sells...
I own this game on steam and it crashed on me. So the fault does not seem to be with GOG but with the developers.

I haven't played since that crash (maybe 1 hour into the game), so I cannot say more about the stability with the steam version.
Steam's alot worst i had to wait for a goddamn 4.0 gig update before i could play this.....absolutely ridiculous.
