Hi

Bought this to play in multiplayer, but so far have not been able to connect to anything. When I question 'public servers' in the game I only get one choice of server, but even when I make sure I have all of the files for it in my mod folder (and turned on),I still get the 'kicked because your...' problem. When I try to trawl the internet for other servers, and use the IP/port select prompts to connect, I can't even get a link to the character creation dialogue. I've let zomboid use my firewall (I'm on a 2012 Macbook Pro), and I even tried the different lua file that you guys posted.

What am I doing wrong? DM
Make sure you're updated to the most current version (33.20), otherwise the version number will not match other servrs currently available.

Though it should be noted that only non-Steam servers are joinable by non-Steam clients, such as GoG. This is due to security concerns, though this may change in the future, as Galaxy support is expored. There might not be much to pick from until the game increases in popularity, here.

Did you install any mods, such as Jab's model loader?

-Not a dev, just tech support.

Thanks for the reply. I am indeed up to 33.20. Still no joy...sniff...
When joining a server, all the files in your media/lua folder and media/scripts folder must match the server's exactly.
There can be no modified or extra files on your computer in those folders. This includes the lua/ and scripts/ folders in any mods you've installed, they must match the server's as well.

The MainScreen.lua file posted before shouldn't be used with 33.20.
