I keep expecting it to naturally be added to one of the updates which is why I've never mentioned it. I just assumed it was being worked on and it just slipped through the cracks of the development cycle.

I'm no programmer so I don't know how easy it would be but at least most of the assets needed have already been made.

They could make a professional lock picking kit that could spawn which could work like 90% per try or cause ware on the kit upon failure.

A screw driver and paper clip which has a 50% chance of working per try with ware on the paperclip per failure. Not much ware on the screw driver though as it's harden steel.

A butter or kitchen knife and copper wire 30% chance of working per try with equal wear on both items with success or failure because they are soft metals.

You could pick the lock on a house door or you could use a credit card on house doors and windows with a 50% chance of success per try. It's also quiet. There should be wear on the credit card both on success and failure because it's soft plastic. More ware on failure though.

As for vehicles you could pick the door locks or you could use a Slim-Jim. To make one you could use a hacksaw to cut a peace of sheet metal. Slim-Jim's are very hearty. I've had the same one since I was a teenager. They just don't ware like other lock picking tools.

As far as broken locks you could use a hammer, screw driver, and pipe wrench to force a broken lock. You would do this by hammering the screw driver into the broken lock then use the pipe wrench to turn the screwdriver. The lock is destroyed but it does work. I've done it many times. Of course the screwdriver will take damage every time.

Making professional lock picking kits could be done with a hammer, saw, and propane torch. As far as material you could use unusable metal, scrap metal, sheet metal, tent pegs, garden saw blades, screw drivers, or wire. Not copper wire because it's too soft.

Well that's my feelings on the subject. This could all be handled under the Metalworking Skill as far as proficiency go’s. It would help realism if they could add a metal file as an item because all metalwork requires a filing tool. Hopefully nasKoo or EnigmaGrey could pass this on to one of the dev's

Also pass on that 41.56 is fantastic! What a difference. I know the list of changes is long and I can't put my finger on any one thing. What I can say is that I’m fighting the game less and enjoying it more.

Thanks,
