Project Warlock has still that problem with limited lives, and having to restart the whole game when they are over? Is there a way to disable this?
Will the sequel have this problem too?

The first game will always be that way while the second one will have a full save sytem (autosaves, normal saves, quicksaves).

thank you! It was laying in my shopping cart but unless there is a mod or something it will be a no for now!

To be fair, I finished the first game multiple times on hard with 30+ lives. I'm 43 years old and my reflexes definitaly aren't what they used to be. If that's what's stopping you from giving the first game a go i'd say try it. It's a fun game that's not unreasonably hard.

sure, I bet it's fun but I would prioritize something else for now! I am not impressed with a system with limited lives and when they are over you have to start all levels from scratch. There are hundres of other games out there that have more respect for the player's time and efforts. I don't mind losing hundres of times like in SUper Hexagon, if I can just repeat the level how many times I want without consequences.
Limited lives spoil the experience for me, for example, Downwell would be a much better game if you could choose a level once you reach it or at least have infinite lives.

Neat story but none of it matters because it's not true. You can play with unlimited lives if you want.

You can play single stage instead of campaign if you want, or an endless mode too.

You still can't save, because there's no reason to save. The maps last 2-5 minutes. Saving could cause problems and brick playthroughs, and it's completely unnecessary. It's like saying you won't play mario because you can't save in the middle of a map. You don't need to save in the middle of the map.

Here's a boss fight. Tell me where and why you'd want to save.

oh, unlimited lives is better than nothing.
I'm not sure what story is neat? The limited lives? It's written in reviews.

because I want to be able to?!
because I could in Catacomb 3D, I could in Doom, I could in Heretic, and so on, and I don't see why I should accept LESS quality of life options today? Given that I also have an incredible choice of games (and other media) and not just a few I'm stuck with?
