Overall, enjoyed it a lot! Fast paced and good times.
Played the game on standard difficulty, which was a bit easy. Died a few times through out the run, a couple of times to falling down the instant death pits, a couple of rooms I got careless, and died 2-3 times at the end of one of the fourth episode stages, where you hit a couple of switches, walls drop on both sides revealing a bunch of those really big robot guys and a bunch of other shooty boyos, that really wrecked my shit.
Bosses seemed to get progressively easier, until the final boss. The timer at the end for the fourth episode boss was around 1 minute, or something like that.
Average level length for me seemed to be around 4 minutes, some taking me up to 8, and a couple taking me a minute or so. Could probably have spent more time looking for secrets.
Fire weapons are OP. Flak shotgun, firelance, napalm rockets wrecked shit, and outright killed certain enemies that otherwise would have gone to injured states. Not sure if this is intended or a bug (or a difficulty thing), but I don't mind. Clearing rooms with hails of fire was pretty satisfying.
Only bug of note I encountered was with the camera getting stuck pointed atthe final boss after I killed it, but ended up just watching the ending on youtube. There were a few instances of weirdness with the lighting, but nothing that impacted gameplay.
Performance varied; when there were a lot of monsters and items FPS could tank pretty bad, but was still somewhat playable.
