From what I read, the GOG and Steam versions are basically the same other than Steam Workshop, which is the method to add/play mods. GOG has no way of allowing the user to use mods in the GOG version.
GOG has the architect version on sale for $12. The Steam version is on sale for $14 (through Kalypso's web site). I prefer no DRM, but for the $2 difference, is it worth getting the steam version? Are the mods worth going to the steam version? Or is the game just a good without any mods?
Thoughts from those of you who have played the game? I see a mix of reviews, and some who really like it have put in 10's of hours into playing.
[update] ... i missed the sale... maybe next time...
