Well, I bought the pro pinball saga here at gog.com hoping that my favourite pinball games on pc will run perfect on my new pc on windows 7 although I already had these games a lot of years ago but they only work right on win9x. But I am very disappointed when I found out that timeshock is the dos version running onto dosbox. This version don't run very well and the ball movement is jerky and blurred. So I decided to try running my old win9x copy first on my laptop with xp. I was having the same problems as the gog.com version: ball movement choppy and a lot of lag with the sound. Googling a little I found a patch it updates the game to 1.20b version. And this do trick for me. Now the ball moves smooth and no lag sound anymore, at least on my laptop with xp. Today I will test this on windows 7 and I will comment the result here.
So if anyone wants this update I could attatch the file here (if I don't break any rule of the forum of course) or upload to any sharing server.
I will test brusa and fantastic journey today. I hope they will work better becasue they are windows native versions.
EDIT AND REPORTING :)
Well, it seems I did not need to buy timeshock at gog. At least it was only 3 dollars. I will consider this purchase as an online backup of my old cd of timeshock, because my old copy with a win9x version works like a charm on my new pc with windows 7 64 and the update 1.20b I commented above: no jerky movement and no lag of any type. And no need of dosbox of course. Even without configuring any compatibility option at the executable properties unlike brusa an fantastic journey. The other tables are working without any problem on my win7 64 but here I had to tweak the compatibility options tab a little.
So I strongly recommend to gog.com team to update the installation setup with a win9x version and the latest update patch.
So it's time to be the master of time :)
