I have all the GOG Pro Pinball games, but I'm only having trouble with Timeshock, which I'm assuming is related to DOSBox in some way. The issue is that the ball does not move smoothly around the table but rather "stutters" everywhere instead. The game is still playable but it's pretty annoying regardless. I have tried every single graphic mode option (surface, Direct3D, etc), plus turning the in-game details all the way down and back up, but get the same result every time. Is there some other setting in the .conf file that I should be tinkering with to fix this? I'm using a notebook computer - WinXP Pro SP3, Core 2 Duo 2.50, 4 GB RAM, nVidia 9800M GTS 512.

I have this problem as well. GOG needs to give us the Windows version, already. The other two ProPinball games work flawlessly.

jungletoad: I was having the same problem. You can turn down some of the graphics options and improve performance. I turned off the ball shadow and set my falsher activity and frenzy flasher activity to medium. The effect on the graphics is negligable, but the performance boost was quite nice. The ball is still a little bit twitchy, but the game is playable now.

Go into options >>> Graphics >>> Detail >>> Custom and make some adjustments.
Unfortunately, messing with the detail settings does nothing (see original post).
