A new Prince of Persia game will be out at the release of the Disney movie on May.
Pretty much, we don't know anything about the game. But there was an exclusive article about it. I uploaded it for you :)
The game takes places between Sands of Time and Warrior Within, kinda a remake of the horrible DS-game "Battles of PoP" which was a terrible money snatch move of Ubisoft to get so much profit from the fans.
Gameplay will be relied on the plattforming and combat system of Sands of TIme and Warrior Within. No shitty quick-time events hopefully.
A new feature would be that the Prince will be able to use the Sands of TIme to controll NATURE.
For example he can turn water into ice to create a wall for Jump and Run. But he will also be able to use it on the combat system.
BTW, combat will be classic Warrior Within, advanced FreeFormFighting-System(that's still uncertain if true) and the numbers of hostiles you'll encounter can be over 50 enemies at once. Reminds me of the new GoW III, but I hope it won't be a rip-off.
The game will be rated either as M(on the British site) or E(on the American Site, lolwut), I am not sure. But it's clear Ubisoft tries to make the game don't expose itself as another Warrior Within to satisfy the Sands of TIme-Fanatics. I still don't get what the fuck is their problem, but let's leave that out.
But what really disturbs me is the lack of real information and updates of this game. I read somewhere on the Ubi forum that an executive stated on a press conference that there won't be any updates due an agreement with Disney. That's really fucked up.
Let alone the new "not supposed to be DRM". I will hope that there will be a crack after the release to remove it, since I really see to much disadvantiges with the shit Ubi does. Talking about an evil cooperation.
But...well, I seem to have no other option than to buy it. I have been a PoP-fan since the old Snes- version. It was horrible to play and to die everytime, but the effort was worth it. I almost played every PoP- game( well, almost, I couldn't stand the 2008-release and sold it afterwards after 2 hours gameplay) and I don't want to leave that out.
So what do you think?
