Hi. I just bought Primordia since it wen't on sale and upon downloading it I noticed that there was a second download option titled "Universal update." I'm assuming that's the 1.2 patch, but my question is do I have to download that separately from the main game? Or is that just for people who downloaded the game already prior to the patch being released, and the patch is included in the main download option?

The installer is GOG version 2.0.0 (which is the same as when the game came out), whereas the patch updates the GOG version to 2.0.3.

This means that the installer is not the latest version, so you should download the patch an install it. Sometimes GOG updates the actual installer for a game, but for now they've provided the patch instead of having people who previously installed the game download the entire installer again if they want to update.

2.0.0 and 2.0.3 huh? I assumed the patch was 1.2 because of that stickied thread in the main Primordia section.

But anyway's, thanks for the answer. I'll make sure to download it then.

Yea it's a little weird. The game version is 1.2, but the "installer" version is 2.0.0 and patch version is 2.0.3.

Basically GOG has their own numbering system for game installers and patches which differs from the actual game/developer version.

There is no manual for primordia do i have to go and google it or do you have one anyway?

Alas, no manual at all (per publisher preferences). There is an in-game "how to play" in the options menu.
