Using a Macbook Pro Retina (OSX 10.11, Late 2013) , launching the game from GOG Galaxy (1.1.5 Beta)

I get this error message when launching the game:

"The application X11 could not be opened"
"An error occurred while starting the X11 server: "Failed to activate core devices.""

Maybe something to do with the new OSX ?

I have played this from the GOG Galaxy app before, no problems there. First time launching it in El Capitan.

Anything I'm doing wrong maybe?

Unfortunately, the Mac aspects of Primordia are a purely GOG thing, so this isn't something I'm equipped to provide support for (nor would the coder be able to help, I fear). I would suggest contacting GOG support directly. Let me know, though, if problems persist or if you can't get a hold of someone and I'll see what I can do.
I assumed the GOG guys were looking at these forums, but of course I had not seen the "Support" button right after the "Community" one, so this was my first stop.

I've made a ticket with their support department now, and hopefully they will look into it.

Thanks for the reply, and the heads up, I love your game; you guys made something awesome :)

From the game page:

Mac OS X 10.11 notice: The "System Integrity Protection Feature" must be disabled before playing this game.
Wineskin also had issues with El Capitan (well more the other way around), but it was updated. Not sure if AGS has any El Capitan updates yet.

Wait, is the Mac build just the Windows version in Wineskin? If so then look here.

Are things resolved?

If not, I'll go bug the one guy I know at GOG. :D

i have exactly the same problem. Just opened the Package Contents in order to update Wine.
It's not there. Sadly there is nothing to update.

Oh fyi his is the error that I get:

An error occurred while starting the X11 server:
"Failed to activate core devices."

Can you submit a support ticket to GOG and let me know what you hear back? Thanks!

Now that this is sitting in my Library, I can confirm the Mac build is the Windows version in Wineskin. Right-click, Show Package Contents on the outer .app & again on the inner .app:
Contents\Resources\game\Primordia.app\
Wineskin.app is located there.
