Hi there.

The main story Quest "Before I Give You The Key" is stuck at "Get the chipset for scanning coral from Alex's desk and install it.". This seems to be a long standing bug players can run into.

I have the chipset, I've tried all of the methods I could find and think of, but the quest won't progress.

I've unequipped the chipset, then reequipped it, I changed areas while it was unequipped, then reequipped it, deactivated and reactivated the quest, did sidequests while it was unequipped to pass time, simply let the char stand around, tried restarting the game with any combination of deactivating the quest / unequipping the chipset in various places (Alex's office, exterior, ...), etc, etc.

I do not have a savegame from before the "Before I Give You The Key" quest started. I went through a lot of side quests before i noticed.

Any hints as to how to have the main story quest "Before I Give You The Key" progress ?

Edit: I don't know what triggered it, but now after several hours of gameplay, the quest progressed to the "Scan the Coral in the Exterior", after I (again) tried removing and reinstalling the chipset.
