I´ve just started trying this game and am confused. I discover domesticated dogs, but it doesn´t seem to affect the time it takes to scout (scouting is sending a worker to reveal a new map area, right?) Had the same issue in the demo but figured maybe it was a bug.
so what am I missing here?

It lowers scouting -1 turn. Works fine here. Try to verify the game cache.
