So I had good memories of playing the damo back in 96/97, so I bought the game and reinstalled it.

However, I have a weird issue with the Left/Right directions, I have remapped the keys in different ways and "hard remap" through DOSBox mapper, but the Left and Right directions remain inverted.

To picture it, when I'm on the character selection screen, if I press right while on Anubi, nothig happens, however if I press left the cursor moves right and the problem persists during the actual fight.
Same problem when I choose the number of souls.
P2 has the very same problem, left and right are reversed and it makes the fights needlessly complicated because I have to think backwards but it's not a solution.

Also, as I said earlier, even mapping "Right" to Left and vice-versa does not help.

I'm currently playing on a laptop.
I doubt the config will play a large role but I have:

CPU: Core i5-7200 @ 2.5~2.7GHz
4Gb DDR4 RAM
And an nVIDIA GEFORCe mobile something something I never remember and I mostly play older games that do well enough in my IntelHD chipset.

I'm pretty sure it's got to do either with the keyboard or a borked driver though, but right now I have no idea.

edit: nvm I'm a dumbass and didn't pay attention, the movement buttons are mapped U/D/R/L instead of the usual U/D/L/R in the config menu...
