Created by Commandos' developer Pyro Studios, this solid but long-delayed game was finally released in 2003. It wasn't a huge success, but it offered a different brand of strategy that can still be enjoyed.
In some ways, Praetorians is your typical C&C-like RTS, but it also does some things differently. For example, you don't have to waste time gathering resources and building a base. There are two things about the game that you have to take into account, though: like in the first Commandos' installments, you can't rotate the map (it's a fixed perspective), and the difficulty can be too punishing at times. Still, it's a long and interesting game!
