So I showed this game to a friend of mine since it was every bit as fun as I remember when I was growing up. We've been trying to get an online game between us going but we can't seem to find any ways to connect.

This was usually through trying Direct IP, but we can't seem to connect even if we're just connected directly to a cable modem. We've double-checked our firewall rules.

Most recently we tried a VPN and when we searched for games, we could see each others' game and try to join them, but the game would freeze for a bit until eventually just saying "Connection Lost."

Has anyone had any luck multiplayer-wise? What can we do?
