Hi people.

I would like to share a small mod I created for the game. It adds a few speech sound effects taken from the DOS version of the game at specific events in the NightDive version. I thought it would bring a bit more life to the protagonist.

You can download it here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/hk0camtivsdytqe/Powerslave_Exhumed_2022_Talkie_ModV111.zip?dl=1

Events:
- You will hear the protagonist laughing when picking a new weapon for the first time.
- Getting hurt may make the protagonist say "Son of a b*tch!"
- Hearing "Yeah!" when picking up an artifact

And more. :)

*VERSION 1.1.1*

Mod has been updated to version 1.1.1

Added new speeches played at random when killing a certain type of enemies.

Uninstall the previous version of the mod before installing the new version. Download link updated.

You can find a readme in the archive on how to install/uninstall it.

Enjoy! :)

cool! I will try this out. Sounds like it might be a good change of pace.

Is this game very easy to mod, btw?

change the kpf file to zip and you have access to some scripts, all sounds, all gfx, etc... :)

When creating your modded kpf file, you just need to create an empty zip and import the modified file in the zip then rename the zip to kpf. You then put the file in "mods" folder.

Make sure the folder and file structure of your modded kpf file is the same as the original.

Thanks. That is an easy process

This mod is freakin amazing man!!!!

One problem tho. When i use it, for some odd reason, some scorpions/spiders don't move. Only some.

And yes i am sure it's this mod's fault because before i installed it everything worked fine. And when i installed it, this bug i mentioned appeared (bug with bug enemies how ironic). It's fixed only when i delete this mod. When i delete any other mod from my folder it still persists. Even if it's the only mod in the folder the issue is still there

And yes i have my game up to date

It's kind of bizzare why it's happening and i just don't understand why

Also... can you please make a version without "son of a b*tch" sound? It plays just too often. Sometimes it even overlaps itself when i get hit by 2 projectiles in the same exact second

But besides that... good job mate. You've done something that (in my opinion) should be already in the game as an option (since we already have some dos stuff in this remaster anyway)

Hi.

The sound you are talking about is indeed played a little bit too often. I tried to see if I can change the random value for it to play but it seems hardcoded in the game. I will still look to see if I can modify it in some way.

As for the bug issue, I find it weird since it never happened to me. You are the only one who this is affected. I hope with the most recent patches of the game, it has been fixed. I do not see why it affects the spiders/scorpions behavior since I only added one line for each enemy to play the sound. It doesn't affect the AI.
