Anyone with a non-official solution? Must be trivial.
I also checked the commands and cvars in the game console, none of them seem to be applicable for mouse inversion.
There is a way, but it's a bit odd.

First, go and download RawAccel here- https://github.com/a1xd/rawaccel/releases/download/v1.4.4/RawAccel_v1.4.4.zip

Next, install that and restart your PC (it's required for the program).

After that, grab InvertMouse here- https://github.com/oleg-st/InvertMouse/releases/download/1.0.1/InvertMouse.zip

Run the InvertMouse executable and make sure that the checkboxes for "When cursor is hidden" and "Y Axis" are checked, and that "RawAccel" is in the "Driver" window. After that, start the game and it should kick in after a second once the game's started.

I've tested this on several DOS games and it does work, so it'll hopefully work for this game while you wait for a patch.

Edit: Tested it with this game and it works just fine.

Thank you. In fact I researched this yesterday.

I like the fact that it is an opensource project, but dislike the fact that it works as a kernel module. I really hope the developer company builds this in in user-level code, for safety.

It's weird that Nightdive left out the inverted mouse setting, considering that PowerslaveEX had it.
Seriously hope it is implemented in PSE very soon.

Yes, it does. Mouse Y-axis cannot be inverted, controller Y-axis can be.

Seems like a bit of a silly thing to omit. I use the traditional axis setup, but so many people use inverted, that I'm surprised when it doesn't show up in a game.

I can't play without inverted mouse so if the developer can't fix this I'll be asking for a refund.
I've read that this was a simple oversight and that it will be included with the next patch.
Is there any information on when this patch will be released? Or is it just in the nebulous "future" so far? I was psyched to start playing this and was seriously confused then disappointed when I saw there was no option, and no way to change the setting through editing the .INI files.

I have hundreds of gems (sic, games) in my library, of course there is no scarcity of good stuff - what a luxurious time we live in!

It came to a point when I would play with this VS Elden Ring, joke of all jokes, and write into this forum :-)

So: I guess the morale of things is unchanged for me, being a sw developer myself: cover the basics. If I slipped, fix it asap, day 0. Communicate! I presume the Kex engine and program stability is great here, hidden behind a really ugly bug in my eyes. A three-legged dog. No one wants to manufacture three legged dogs, no matter how much we like the ones we adopted from the shelter and grew on us.

The ugliness of the bug is the only thing that made me start this thread, that is all. Dear dev team, do something. The feedback is good, both here and in the Steam forums, there people are watching the end of the two-week refund period re this matter.

An open question: can it be, that one cannot publish a quick fix rapidly here, because some kind of an App Store-y approval time window? I hardly think so, seeing the frequency of updates of certain games in my lib. Would be nice to know though.

Same here. Refunding this week if there are no news. The sad thing is, that it is a small and really stupid omission, the publisher and developer does not care about this feedback because we are in small numbers, and there is no communication either. Just sad. Bad work really from anyone doing PR, ruining everyone else's work.
