I'm getting it too the crashes
So with help from the buildGDX team we figured out the problem.

once you install the gog version of Powerslave and buildGDX into it delete the webcache.zip file

thatll get the game launching.

Now if you want to get music working just move all the files from the MUSIC folder to where buildGDX is and then download this file and put it in the same place.

and if you want the movie to play at the beginning get this file and put it in the same place.

and then enjoy.
The file for the movies, That's suppose to be in game.gog...weird BuildGDX isn't finding it.

Thank you for working with the BuildGDX team to figure that out! It was a great help in me getting the game to run completely within BuildGDXv1.15. I found that if you leave all of those files ("cd.cue", "Book.MOV", and the MUSIC folder) in the normal game directory & just point BuildGDX to the game directory, it also works. :)

Would you by chance know if the BuildGDX is considering a work around so that it just works with the GOG version, or if these suggested steps might be added to setup instructions of this source port?

Shouldn't have to point BuildGDX to the game directory, If that's where BuildGDX also is

also i tried your way with a fresh install and no music plays. So i don't know what your doing to get the music to play where as Stixsmaster his way does get it to play.

Got told that by moving the stuff.dat to where you have BuildGDX installed the game should work too.
