After playing Apocalypse Weekend, I got the stats. And they say Bryan survived.
That can't be good.
But who was Bryan again? I would have killed him if I would have known this..

No, Dude.it is good (as good as anything about AW was...). It is one of three events needed to unlock extra cheats. Another is killing all elephants with sickle-only. I got one from my first time through allowing multiple hammers thrown.
More importantly, why are you still playing AW? No offense, but I played twice: the first a maddening slog from HP to HP while desperate for ammo. Second time I gave myself plenty of ammo and pipes and still was a slog. None of the sparkle of starting streetcorner gunfights or pissing in someone's face then dousing them ith gas and watching the set a crowd on fire

I thought the game was very funny (more lols than P2, esp. with the pigeon mission cutscene) and reasonably fun until the army base; /then/ it became a slog as there were like 4 parts through there, and really lacking in health, grenades made unexpected landings, enemies waited for /you/ to come to them, etc. And I wish enemies in general couldn't block your machete throwing as easily, as that really does kick @$$. (I'll probably play with cheats next time so the fun factor is better.)

Ugh, I started playing again, trying to keep Bryan alive, but 1 second after the cutscene ends a zombie comes up and kills him. Is this punishment for using cheats, or just bad luck, or what?

Brian is the RWS guy on the roof of vince's house, that you fight with in the Apocalypse Weekend level "Vinces house", there are two RWS guys, one of them being vince (on the lower floor) and the other one brian (on the roof).
